Hummingbird & Crane is an award winning short film about Dorrie Davis, a teenage birding fanatic who enters the World Series of Youth Birding as the underdog. To win in the 'bird calling' event, she will have to beat birding superstars, child prodigies and the pressures of competing at such a prestigious event. At the premiere birdwatching competition for teens in the world, which squawker will soar?

Filmed in the beautiful mountains around Santa Fe, New Mexico and written, directed and produced by women, Hummingbird & Crane is a comedy that gives an absurdly charming view into the world of competitive birdwatching. Premiering at the Female Eye Festival in Toronto where it was nominated for 'Best Short Film', Hummingbird & Crane has been accepted to festivals all across the country including the Academy Awards recognized LA Shorts Fest.
